Holiday Weekend

Gotta love those long holiday weekends!

Like many, we have a busy weekend planned. Friday were are going over to Ben and Anna's home for a BB-Q and BEER. Ben is slow cooking on the grill something very special. Some type of heated flesh...ribs I imagine. He said the recipe calls for slow cooking for about six hours with special rubs and sauce. He is an excellent cook and I am sure it will be GOOD.

We are almost finished with a remodeling project at the house. Tomorrow morning we will finish up the chair rail and floor trim in the entryway that leads from the garage to the kitchen. That was all brought about when we took out one of two doors that lead to the first floor bathroom. It was kind of weird having a bathroom that one could enter from two directions. I will get some pictures of the finished product.

We are coordinating a float building project for our church. Last night we had our first work session and nine of us spent several hours cutting letters for banners out of felt. I was expecting power tools as opposed to scissors. Maybe next session! I will post some pictures, not of scissors but the float in it's early stages. The finished product will be in the North Mankato Fun Day's Parade July 12th.

That is all for now...tune in again soon for another edition of "Now What Are They Doing?"
