Busy and more Busy

Last weekend we hooked up the camper and traveled to Walnut Grove, Minnesota. You may recognize that name from the TV show, Little House On The Prairie. Soon I will have some pictures.
I have spent the majority of this week getting ready for the Second Annual Bag Toss for the Red Cross event scheduled for this Saturday.
We should have 64 teams competing for more than $2,000.00 in prizes.
The weather is looking good so everyone should enjoy great music, food and games.....all for the support of our local American Red Cross.

Bag Toss For The Red Cross Update

Saturday, May 2nd we held our inaugural Bag Toss For The Red Cross and it was a huge success.
In a very short amount of time we sold sponsorships, signed up 50 teams, built bean bag game boards, secured a location, advertised, developed a food menu and a hundred other things.

We arrived shortly after 6AM to begin the set up so the games could begin at nine. Here are a few pics and we prepared for the days games.

I wish I had taken more pictures, but we were BUSY! I did get a few of the throwers in action.

I just had to post this picture of Lee. He is one of our three college interns this semester. He just got his butt kicked by a 12 year old.

A great time was had by all....especially those that walked away with cash and other nice parting gifts.

Bag Toss For The Red Cross

The headline may have you scratching your head or other body parts wondering what the heck I am talking about now.

Here is the scoop.

The South Central MN Chapter of the American Red Cross is holding a bean bag toss competition with proceeds going to help fund local Red Cross programs.

Here is a link to the site with all the information. Red Cross Bag Toss

As I understand it, this is a very competitive game that is very popular for the 20-40 year old age group.

Of course all "throwers" are welcome to attend the event. Food will be available so get a team together and make a day of it.
