A couple of weeks ago I had to travel to Washington, DC on business. We were very busy with meetings, but had a few hours the day we flew in to do some exploring.
I shot a few pictures with my Blackberry telephone for you.
Here are the graves of President John F. Kennedy and his wife Jacqueline at Arlington National Cemetery:

We also visited Lincoln Memorial, Tomb of the Unknown and saw the changing of the guard. We saw the White House and all the other buildings around the presidential fortress.
The Potomac River runs through the area and is very nice as are some of the hotels along it's shore:
Cab fares in DC are horrible. It is easily $35 each way from the airport to many of the hotels. Not only cab fares, but food prices are equally bad.
